    The Cabin sits about 15 minutes from the Killington Access Road and 20 minutes from the K-1 Base Lodge and lifts — with Pico Mountain even closer, just south on Route 4. Killington's 155+ trails and Pico's quieter, more local-feel slopes cover everything from beginner runs to steep glades. For a change of scenery, Okemo and Sugarbush are each about 45 minutes away, and Vermont's biggest resorts (Stowe, Stratton) are reachable as a day trip. Green Mountain Trails in nearby Pittsfield also grooms a network for backcountry and skin-up skiing when you want to earn the descent.

Deer Leap Overlook, a rugged ~2-mile round trip near Sherburne Pass, rewards you with views over the Coolidge Range in about 20 minutes' drive. For lift-served downhill, the Killington Bike Park is about 20 minutes away. Bring your own bike or rent locally — either way, you're minutes from real trail, not a shuttle ride away.
